An Evening of Melody
On Saturday evening, May 17, at 7:00 pm, Bethel area songwriters will join together in a performance to benefit Melody Bonnema of Bonnema Potters.
In January, Melody was critically injured in a car accident in Pennsylvania while visiting her ailing parents. She was in ICU at a Pennsylvania hospital in a coma for several weeks. Her injuries were life-threatening, and her family was there with her through the intensive surgeries and treatments that followed. Melody has made a miraculous recovery, but still has a long road ahead of her to heal completely. Her willpower and determination to heal have been truly inspirational, as has her ability to connect so many people from the Bethel community - and her friends and customers from around the world - in their support and love for her.
On this "Evening of Melody," 12
songwriters will perform original music, in an acoustic "unplugged" setting, at
Gould Academy's Bingham Hall Auditorium, with all proceeds going to benefit the
Bonnema family.
Tickets are $10 at the door or may be purchased at the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce office, 8 Station Place, Bethel (behind movie theater), 824.2282.
To celebrate Melody's love of hats, there will be a "passing of hats" for additional contributions.
Come join us, and hear new original music from Jewel Clark, Donnie Katlin, Sammy Chapman, Rolly York, Conni St. Pierre, Pat Malia, Ross Timberlake, Paul Farrar, Tony Andrews, Amy Green, Jim McLaughlin, and Doug Alford, in a celebration of life, originality, and creativity.
