Welcome to our romantic Bed and Breakfast located on the town common in the Historic District of Bethel, Maine. We are located directly across from the Bethel Inn
Resort. Built in 1848, the Gideon Hastings House became a Bed and Breakfast in 2000 and was beautifully renovated and landscaped. This five bedroom Inn offers spacious accommodations and includes whirlpool baths and showers, air conditioning, TV, complimentary WIFI access, Bose stereo and a regulation size bocce court. During your stay with us, you will enjoy a delicious gourmet breakfast prepared by your host.
The Gideon Hastings House is also home to 22 Broad Street, an intimate 10-table Italian Restaurant and Martini Bar. It offers Classic style Italian fare. Relax and enjoy your favorite cocktail at the bar, in the sunroom or on our open porch in Bethel's warmer months. Or if you prefer, play a game of bocce on our regulation size court. Our restaurant and Inn is perfect for special events and can accommodate up to 50 guests for rehearsal dinners, weddings, reunions, anniversaries or holiday parties.
