Proposed Four Ponds Project Open House

The Androscoggin Ranger District of the White Mountain National Forest is proposing a forest management project, the Four Ponds Project, in Albany and Mason Townships, Oxford County, Maine.

Included will be timber harvest, improvements to watersheds, the replacement of Broken Bridge dam, prescribed fire, wildlife habitat improvement, evaluation of potential gravel sources, changes to dispersed and developed campsites, hiking and snowmobile trail relocation, and road work and access.

We invite interested members of the public to attend an OPEN HOUSE to learn about and comment on the project. It will be held on July 24, 2008, from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Evans Notch Visitor Center, 18 Mayville Road, Bethel, Maine.
