Certified Responsible Server Training On Premise Retailers
River Valley Rising is hosting a FREE certified Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training utilizing the Bureau of Alcohol Beverage and Lottery approved TIPS Program. This is a 5 hour training, which once completed, the participant will be registered through the State of Maine as a certified server.

Lunch: Will not be provided but there will be a break for lunch
Responsible beverage service (RBS) training programs give owners, managers, and staff of establishments that serve alcohol knowledge and skills to help them serve alcohol responsibly and fulfill the legal requirements of alcohol service.
Server training may address:
· Checking IDs for false detection and carding
· Identifying intoxicated patrons and refusing service to them
· Intervening to prevent intoxicated patrons from driving
· Identify minors and visibly intoxicated person
· Prevent costly violations
· Instill confidence in retailers and servers; and possibly reduce Liquor Liability Insurance
