"One Today" Inaugural Poem set to music with chorus and string quartet - Dress Rehearsal open to public
Richard Blanco, a native of Cuba and resident of Bethel, made history when he was selected to compose and read a poem for President Obama's second inauguration. Local resident Tom Davis was inspired to set to music Blanco's original poem, "One Today." It will be performed by a chorus and string quartet. This date is an open-to-the-public dress rehearsal for a performance to be held Oct. 23.
