Local Craft & Wares Fair - Get your holiday shopping done early by shopping locally and handmade! 9am-4pm at the Bethel Inn Resort's Conference Center.
Preview Opening at Art @ 57MAINe – 9am – 4pm, Main Street's newest business -- retail art gallery and teaching studio. Donna D’Aquino and Lauren Head will be focusing on jewelry, metal arts and 2D media.

Small Business Saturday - Bethel area businesses are part of a nationwide movement to shop with local small businesses whenever possible.

Music of December - a Concert Class - A variety of religious and popular songs of the season will be discussed and performed by an ensemble of local and imported musicians, including a chorus, soloists, and instrumentalists. Local musician and composer Tom Davis will coordinate and direct. 3:00-4:30pm. West Parish Congregational Church, 32 Church St., Bethel.
Thursdays, Dec. 2, 9, and 16 Holiday Carol Singing Workshop; 5 to 6 p.m. Gain more choral experience and practice holiday carol singing in part harmony. Cookies With Santa at Woodstock Elementary School Santa lights the town Christmas tree at 6 p.m. and the fire department brings Santa over to the Woodstock School where students and their families may visit with Santa. Craft tables for kids and lots of cookies to eat.
Saturday, December 5
Breakfast with Santa – Pancake breakfast with Santa followed by photos, silent auction, and a gently-used book sale. Proceeds benefit the 5th grade class trip. 8am-1pm, Crescent Park School, Crescent Lane, Bethel.

Christmas Tea and Fair - 1-4pm, West Parish Congregational Church, Church Street, Bethel. Festive traditional tea and fair featuring Christmas and other handmade crafts, a cookie walk, attic treasures, and delicious food from bread to pickles. Light Up Main Street Jingle Walk – Watch Main Street businesses light up one-by-one as carolers walk up Main Street towards the town common to light the Christmas tree. Santa will accompany the parade on a firetruck! Meet at Philbrook Place by 3:45 pm to participate. Tree lighting on the common will take place at approximately 4:45 pm.
Memorial Tree Lighting – 6pm. Refreshments to follow in the dining room. Bethel United Methodist Church, 75 Main Street, Bethel.
Christmas at the Mason House - Enjoy music and refreshments in the 1813 Mason House period rooms, decorated in traditional mid-nineteenth century style and illuminated by candles. Free (donations appreciated). 3:30-6:30 pm. Bethel Historical Society, 14 Broad St, Bethel.
The Nutcracker with the Robinson Ballet

The Robinson Ballet Company of Bangor brings Tchaikovsky’s beloved holiday classic, The Nutcracker, to Bethel. Meet Dean Bennett/Book Launch Event at Bethel Historical Society. 1:30 to 3:30pm at Dr. Moses Mason House. Includes a foreword by author and naturalist, Robert Kimber. "Ghost Buck: One Man’s Family and their Hunting Traditions" by Dean Bennett. The author tells an intimate and multi-generational tale about the environmental and cultural changes affecting hunting and the landscape that have taken place since his boyhood in western Maine.
