Bethel is known for being a winter playland, and each year, the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce rallies locals and visitors alike to celebrate the season during Bethel WinterFest. This year, volunteers and sponsors are working to build a Snowcano.

The Bethel Area has several walks, day hikes, and backpacking trips in the little-known Blue Mountains. Amenities to support this activity too -- outdoor store, guides, lodging, restaurants, etc. Come hike -- no crowds.
