ki town in the universe” by Ski Magazine, the Bethel area offers alpine skiing and snowboarding at Sunday River Ski Resort, Mt. Abram Family Resort, and Black Mountain of Maine.
Bethel is Maine’s Nordic ski capital with three ski centers: Carter's Cross Country Ski Center, Sunday River Inn Cross Country Ski Center, and the Bethel Inn Nordic Ski Center, offering 120 kilometers of groomed trails for skiing and snowshoeing, rental equipment, instruction, special events, and races for all ages and abilities. Thirty-five minutes away, at the base of Mt. Washington, Great Glen Trails & Outdoor Center offers 40 more kilometers of trails and “up close” views of the Presidential Mountains of New Hampshire.
A snowmobiler’s paradise awaits with hundreds of 
miles of beautiful, groomed trails. Spectacular views can be found in Grafton Notch State Park and the White Mountain National Forest. Rentals and guided tours are available as well!
