Shopping...a very popular past time, especially when on vacation.  The Bethel area offers an authentic shopping experience, celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit.  You will not find the “Anywhere, USA” factory outlet/big box stores here but you will find more than two dozen shops, some on Bethel's Main Street and many scattered around the countryside. We also have a variety of antique shops sprinkled in and out of the Bethel Village, offering treasures from near and far.  Maine-made gifts including Maine-gem jewelry, pottery, outdoor wear, specialty shops, and more can keep the adventurous shopper very satisfied.  You'll be guaranteed to find souvenirs reminiscent of this mountain village setting.  A farmers' market is held every Saturday morning in Bethel and farmstands dot the countryside, offering fresh produce, flowers and other locally harvested items.  This is a place that offers the shopper many choices, from hand-made and home-grown, to the most exotic wares from around the world.  Come shop with us!
