18th Annual Basics of Substance Use Disorder Conference

Join the Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative as they host the 18th Annual Basics of Substance Use Disorder Conference (formerly known as Alcohol and Drug Addiction Conference). The keynote speaker, Dr. Mark Publicker, Past President of Northern NE Society of Addiction Medicine. He speaks of Substance Use and its harmful effects on a person's overall health and well-being.

A variety of other speakers, from law enforcement to behavioral health specialists, will share how Substance Use Disorder has continued to be an overwhelming epidemic in our communities and what you can do to help reduce the stigma and support recovery.

A Narcan training will also be available from 4pm-5pm after the conference for anyone interested. Just let Daphne know you're interested when registering.
