Asthma Triggers: Gain Control
Americans spend up to 90 percent of their time indoors. Indoor allergens and irritants play a significant role in triggering asthma attacks. Triggers are things that can cause asthma symptoms. If you have asthma, you may react to just one trigger or you may find that several things act as triggers. Types of triggers: secondhand smoke, dust mites, molds, pets, nitrogen dioxide, wood smoke, chemical irritants, and more. Join Stephens Memorial Hospital Registered Respiratory Therapist, TJ Farnum, to learn more about asthma triggers and how to gain control. Educational material is provided by the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
