Last December we hosted HR 101, a primer workshop on human resources. At the end of that training the consensus from the group was to dig a little deeper into some of the topics. On November 21, from 2-4 pm guest presenter Ryder Scott, State Director, University of Maine 4-H Centers, will return for this two-hour workshop on HR issues.
If you missed the HR 101 training, don't worry! Reach out to cat@inspirecore.org to get materials from the first training. Ryder will provide an overview for everyone at the start of this workshop as a refresher for everyone and an introduction to anyone new.
CORE will provide snacks and a donation to help cover the cost of this would be appreciated. This workshop is free and open to anyone interested in attending. New to managing employees? Wondering about current best practices in Human Resources? The training will cover several topics, including: equal opportunity and access in hiring and employment, legal issues and obligations, creating a workplace free of discrimination and harassment, and more. There will be plenty of time to discuss your questions and play out scenarios.
