The Alan Day Community Garden and Oxford County Wellness Collaborative are pleased to offer the popular “Restorative Community Training.” A Restorative Community acknowledges the gifts that each individual gifts brings to the table while also understanding each individual’s challenges. This is done during collaboration within meetings, specific projects, or just a simple conversation on the street.
This training is extremely useful for those who work daily with a diverse group of people, especially young adults, who may not always feel included within their community. The training has been shown to empower participants to directly address personal and community improvement. Learning the skills to listen and be heard by your peers in a mindful and respectful way is a productive step towards creating a healthier community.
The training is offered with a sliding scale fee. If you find the training valuable, donations of any amount are accepted so the Collaborative can continue to offer these trainings around the county. Lunch and refreshments will be included.
