The Bethel Community Forest is growing! We are hoping to add an additional 532 acres, located on the North Road, and want to share the envisioning process with everyone. On the discussion list is: hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing & horseback riding trails, and forest management. The terrain climbs gently with some steeper portions. Suggested items to bring/wear: hiking boots, layered clothing, bug/tick spray, water, food. Masks are optional provided 6' social distancing guidelines are followed. Parking is available on the right (heading 3.3 miles west on North Road from the Rt. 2 bridge) just after Ellingwood Mtn. road. There are two Community Forest signs at the dirt road; just pull in and park in the small field where we'll meet.
