Cheers to Craft Beer: Maine Brew Fest Returns to Sunday River

NEWRY, ME (August 26, 2019)—The Maine Brew Fest September Session returns to the slopes of Sunday River Resort with over 100 beers available from 28 breweries across the state. Tickets for the event, which boasts activities on Friday, September 13 through Saturday, September 14, are on sale now at SundayRiver.com and MEBrewFest.com.
Breweries on tap include Allagash Brewing Company, Banded Brewing Company, Bangor Beer Company, Battery Steele Brewing, Baxter Brewing Company, Bear Bones Beer, Blaze Brewing Company, Cushnoc Brewing Company, Definitive Brewing, Foulmouthed Brewing, Foundation Brewing Company, Freeport Brewing Company, Geary's, Lone Pine Brewing Company, Maine Beer Company, Mason's Brewing Company, Mast Landing Brewing Company, Nonesuch River Brewing, Norumbega Cidery, Norway Brewing Company, Orono Brewing Company, Oxbow Brewing Company, Peak Organic Brewing Company, Ricker Hill Orchards, Saco River Brewing, Shipyard Brewing Company, Steam Mill Brewing Company, and Sunday River Brewing Company.
The weekend schedule is as follows:
10 A.M. – 4 P.M. Mountain Park – Take advantage of scenic chairlift rides, twin ziplines, a climbing wall, or disc golf. Pricing varies by activity.
7 A.M. – 5 P.M. Sunday River Golf Club – Tee off at Maine’s most stunning mountain course, designed by Robert Trent Jones II.
Friday, September 13
6:30 P.M. Beer Dinner at the Peak Lodge – A six-course meal with beer pairings from Orono Brewing Company at our mid-mountain Peak Lodge. Advanced reservations required. $99 per person.
Saturday, September 14
10 A.M. Mahoosuc Ridge to the River Challenge – A new event for 2019, the Mahoosuc Ridge to the River Challenge is a 10k or half marathon race put on by The River Fund, Mahoosuc Pathways, and Mahoosuc Land Trust. Racers will start in Bethel and will cross over the mountain to finish at Sunday River’s South Ridge Base Area.
1 P.M. – 2 P.M. VIP Hour - An hour of early access to the sampling tent with the purchase of the proper ticket. $60 per person; available until August 31.
2 P.M. – 5 P.M. General Tasting – Sample beers from 28 breweries with purchase of proper ticket. $50 per person; prices increase after August 31.
1 P.M. – 5 P.M. Maine Oyster Brew – Maine oyster experts will serve up fresh oysters with purchase of 5 or 10 oyster tickets. Starting at $10 per person; tickets available for purchase on-site.
2 P.M. – 4:30 P.M. Live Music – Enjoy live music from Pete Kilpatrick Band.
Tickets to the Maine Brew Fest are available to pre-purchase online or day-of the event. Each Maine Brew Fest ticket includes unlimited beer samples for adults ages 21 and older with an event tasting glass. Designated driver tickets are also available for $15. Tickets to Sunday River’s Mountain Park are also available to purchase day-of. Registration for the Mahoosuc Ridge to the River Challenge is open and available at Ridge2River.me.
