Mt. Abram Announces New Ownership & Drops Lift Ticket Pricing
A Renewed Sense Of Direction With More Affordable, Family Friendly Pricing
Greenwood, ME: Early this season, the management team in conjunction with a new ownership group at Mt. Abram has been working to redefine what it means to ski affordably in New England.  The ski mountain decided to change their pricing on daily lift tickets based upon the fact that it’s financially difficult for a young family to afford skiing these days.  Pricing for a Thursday/Friday all day ticket is now $29, a Saturday ticket is $49, and Sunday, people can ski for $39. Recent statistics show that the ski industry is in decline, partly due to the rising cost of the sport. The goal is to make skiing affordable for everyone, with an eye on attracting young families and people new to the sport. Many cherish the friendly ambiance created from the multigenerational families that call the mountain home for the winter. The sense of community is very strong, creating an environment where parents are comfortable with their children skiing on their own.
Mt. Abram is also offering an incredibly priced Learn-To-Ski package called SKI3ME.  For $195 a beginner skier or snowboarder gets three group beginner lessons with ski or snowboard rental.  Upon completion of the third lesson, participants  get a free season pass with rentals to ski the rest of the season at the Westside beginner area.  This can also be upgraded to an all mountain pass for only $200 for adults and $140 for juniors.
The mountain boasts a variety of exceptional terrain for all levels of skier and is currently in full capacity operation, with all trails open.  The recent snowfall amounts and newly added snowmaking infrastructure have given Mt. Abram an edge over other medium size ski resorts and the season is off to a robust start. Check www.mtabram.com for updates!
