Reviving Civility: a Workshop with Terry Hayes
Facilitated by Terry Hayes, the workshop will include a variety of exercises which will help us identify common ground. We will learn to listen and practice exchanging ideas in a respectful manner. There will also be group discussions.
Terry Hayes, a resident of Buckfield, is a former state legislator. She is in her second term as Maine State Treasurer and has recently announced her intention to run for governor in 2018 as an independent. A firm believer and a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner of Civil Discourse, Hayes has spent her career working with people across the political spectrum. She has been successful when others have not. She has conducted numerous workshops around the state in an effort to promote and advocate for civil interaction. Her participants have nothing but good things to say.
This event is FREE and open to the public. ALL are welcome no matter what their views. Please plan to join us on June 5th. RSVP with the library, 207-743-5309.
