Atrial Fibrillation (A-Fib) is an abnormal rhythm of the heart. In A-Fib, the upper chambers of the heart do not work correctly because of abnormal electrical activity. It can lead to complications and serious heart conditions, and increase a person's risk of stroke. Learn more about how A-Fib is detected and evaluated and the two long-term treatment options. Present by Daniel VanBuren, MD, Board Certified Cardiologist, Director Cardiovascular Medicine, New England Heart Institute, Androscoggin Valley Hospital, Berlin NH. To Your Health is provided as a community service by WMSC in collaboration with the Bethel Family Health Center and MSAD#44/Continuing Education. Admission is free and open to the public.
